What does the Mac app do?
It records Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and Slack calls on your Mac with no bot joining the call. It asks before it records. It also does dictation into any app and screen recording, and it can transcribe on your Mac. Recordings stay on your Mac unless you turn on Sync. It needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 14.2 or newer.
What can the iPhone and Android apps do?
The apps record with no signal, keep recording when you lock your screen, and save your recording if the app closes. Recordings are stored on your phone. Upload to Speak AI when you choose, or turn on auto-upload, and pick the folder it lands in. You can read and search your transcripts, play back any recording, and have uploaded recordings removed from your phone after a set number of days.
Do my recordings upload automatically?
Only if you want them to. Recordings stay on your phone until you upload them. To upload every recording on its own, open the Profile tab, choose Auto-upload, and pick a folder. Your transcript and analysis then appear in that folder.
What features are only on the web platform?
The web platform at app.speakai.co is the full-featured experience. It includes AI-powered analysis, multi-model AI Chat, custom vocabularies, team permissions, integrations, and reporting. The Mac and phone apps record, upload, and show your transcripts, but do not include these features.
